SXSW Panel Picker: The Benefits of On-Demand Music Technology

SXSW preparation is off to an early start this year! GobblerSoundCloud, Brainfeeder Records, Concord Music Group, have put together an inciting panel presentation on music collaboration and need your help to make sure it makes to cut. Description

On Imogen Heap’s new album, she invited fans to take part in the creative process and contribute sounds & musical snippets to be incorporated into her compositions. While engaging fans in the creative process isn’t necessarily new, the ability for fans to directly contribute sound & music is.

Today, anyone can create, record, and share music anywhere. Everyday, technology pushes the boundaries further, and as a result, artists are taking musical expression, creation, and collaboration to incredible places…

Through this process, new business models are emerging, utilizing music and sound as catalysts for content creation, fan engagement, and new forms of expression. Artists have a myriad of ways to connect musically with bandmates, other artists, AND their fans. This panel will highlight artists who are utilizing these technologies in exciting new ways and discuss how on-demand production, collaboration, and sharing can be used to create connections amongst artists and fans.
